TREND TO WATCH: EMBELLISHED ARMY JACKET

We all know that embellishment is a HUGE trend right now! So are army jackets! How about marrying the two. The embellished army jacket is born! My favorite picks are those with embroidery (bonus points for a bird motif!) and patches. Embroidery and patches are showing up ALL OVER THE PLACE, so why not on an army jacket! Look for these at all price points, from high fashion to budget fashion. These look great in the bomber style or the longer car-coat, parka style. The embroidered army jackets give off a more boho vibe, where as the patched up ones give off a fun, youthful and pop-py yet militaristic vibe. When donning one of these jackets, keep the rest of the look simple and easy. For day time casual, pair with boyfriend or distressed jeans, sneakers or slides. For a nighttime look, pair with a jean skirt and add some heeled booties. I love wearing a plain white tee underneath with both looks.
