Today's look was a simple, fun, and easy look! I want to show how you in this can go from day to night with a few minor changes! For this look, I chose a bold, geographic top from Lularoe. I just purchased this top on a going out of business sale group for $13! What a steal! I loved the graphic print and bright colors and knew right away I needed to snatch it up. This shirt is the Irma, which is cut longer in the back to go with leggings. I like how though it is a roomier shirt, the arms are tight fitting to balance it out. I paired this shirt with some older black Cabi leggings .These leggings have been a staple in my wardrobe. They are super comfortable, have a nice thick waistband that covers your tummy, and much thicker and more opaque than regular leggings. I love the seam detail and the zippers at the bottom. These are one of the first pieces I ever purchased from Cabi. I got them on past-season sale, as their prices are a little high for me. Great quality though! I do highly recommend splurging on a pair of quality leggings that will last you many seasons. (Don't get me wrong, I have 200 pairs of Target and Old Navy ones, but these Cabi ones are more "pants-like" and not see through). The shoes mustard yellow (favorite color alert!) are like 10,000 years old from Target. I have been meaning to get a replacement pair because I have worn these SO much!! I finished the look with a silver Stella and Dot tote. I am a huge fan of a tote bag as I am one of those people who carries her entire life (literally) in her purse! I love the metallic silver because it goes with almost everything. For jewelry, I am wearing gold chandelier statement earrings that I got from World Market and an the clover leather wrap bracelet (past season) from Stella and Dot. I chose a long pendant necklace with a turquoise faux druzy. Best part about this outfit: you leave the house feeling like you are wearing pajamas!

My fashion formula for this outfit was:

Bold patterned top +slim fit neutral bottom + pops of color with accessories

Now, let's transform this daytime look into a nighttime look. First, I added a faux fur sweater vest. This piece was a very affordable piece from TJ Maxx last year. It comes with a tie, but I normally take the tie off as I do not look very good in belted pieces, especially ones with bulk due to having a short, thick waist and large bust. Always important to dress for your shape! No matter what size you are, there are ALWAYS ways to dress to accentuate and flatter your figure! I am a big, no, HUGE! fan of using faux fur to add texture to an outfit! It makes such a statement and is PERFECTION for those cold weather months! My favorite faux fur vests are those that have fur only on the front. I especially like the ones that have sweater material in the back, as they are more stretchy and forgiving. Having fur only in the front is much more slimming and less bulky. Wearing fur, you look luxe and fancy, like you just stepped off a ski slope in Aspen! With all the faux fur styles that are out now, you can look LUXE for LESS!

Next, I stacked on a few more bracelets for more of an "arm party." When making an arm party, I prefer groups of three bracelets. I kept the wrap bracelet and added a turquoise and one other stretchy bracelet. Next, I swapped the tote bag for a smaller and more compact clutch. This is the red Avalon clutch/wallet from Stella and Dot (retired). I have loved this wallet construction so much. It is very similar to the iconic Hobo Lauren wallet (here) that opens up and both sides have zippers. It is large enough to fit a phone, all of your credit cards and cash, and gum, and lipstick. I like the idea of using a clutch like this for evening as it is easier to carry around and sleeker than a large tote bag. The pop of color is also fun and goes well with the salmon color in the shirt. Lastly, I swapped the flats for DV for Target wedges. These shoes elevate the look without being too fussy or dressy. They are comfortable and add a few inches of height.

These earrings are so fun I had to include a close up! I saw a very similar pair, maybe even identical, at Anthropologie for 3x the price. These were only $14.99. World Market has some amazing boho accessories out right now! I LOVE their jewelry and the prices are really good. Shop these earrings here.

So, that is how you can easily transform a look from day to night with only a few minor changes! How do you like to dress up a daytime look for night? I can't wait to hear from you!

Stay Stylish!
